Important Considerations

• When collecting botanical materials for your craft projects it is important to do so responsibly. I collect material mostly from my own garden, making sure I leave plenty for wildlife and regrowth. Flowers can be picked when their flowering period is coming to end.
• Forage on common land with respect to the environment and wildlife which may depend on it. Be aware of protected species which should not be disturbed, and never dig up or remove a plant. I tend to only collect leaves and other botanical material that is already fallen off the plant. Never collect from private land.
• Always know what you are picking, as some plants and flowers are toxic. Do not pick unless you can correctly identify what you are picking.
